Local Positions

There are currently the following local positions being recruited by USAID/Jordan:

  • Financial Analysts
    USAID/Jordan has TWO immediate vacancies for Financial Analysts in the Financial Management Office. The incumbents assist in the design, implementation, and financial management of an extremely complex program under the Mission’s Strategic Objectives (SOs), with an annual Operating Year Budget (OYB) in excess of $500 million. They will provide the full range of financial analysis, evaluation, advisory, accounting and audit management services for programs in excess of $100 million. They are also responsible for assisting in building financial, administrative, and managerial capacity of implementing agencies of the Government of Jordan (GOJ), Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and contractors through the performance of assessments and reviews. The Financial Analysts also execute reviews of mission management controls and monitors mission compliance with USAID policy and United States Government (USG) regulatory requirements.

  • Project Management Specialist – Community and Workforce Development
    The incumbent serves as Project Management Specialist and applies expertise to the design and management of enterprise development, and community development activities. These include, but are not limited to, USAID/Jordan’s business development services programs, rural and urban community development, and micro-, small-, and medium-sized enterprise (MSME) development programs. The position is also a backstop for the office’s poverty alleviation programs.

  • Project Management Specialist – Education
    The incumbent serves as an Education Specialist assisting with the design and implementation of USAID/Jordan’s $100 million education portfolio. The candidate will provide advice on all aspects of the existing program, monitor and evaluate progress towards results in accordance with project documents and USAID policy guidance, and participate in the design of new activities in support of social sector objectives and the Mission’s poverty alleviation work. The candidate will also provide expert advice on basic education, with particular emphasis on policies and programs leading to the professional development of Jordan’s public school teachers. The candidate will explore potential solutions for enhancing educational and economic opportunities for youth and improving educational quality in Jordan that will contribute to achievement of the Mission’s strategic objectives.
